At work again, phones are quiet (thank God). I am going to New York tomorrow and I'm really excited! I'm going to bring my camera and try to take some pictures, but I'm a little weary of taking my camera out with me for the day, I wouldn't want anything to happen to it considering it's my mother's from ages ago. Maybe I can get some cool shots around the area where we are staying.

Well when I went home for break I got a letter in the mail from my summer job saying that they overpaid me and now I need to pay them back- $676.03. Merry Christmas to you guys too!

In other news, I really liked the portrait assignment, I think people are so cool to take pictures of. I hope the photos I took of Joanne came out alright(my grandmother, but we always called her Joanne... I actually didnt know she was my grandmother until I was like 7 because I was so confused by the whole name thing... I thought she was my mom's good friend! ha)

I actually wish I had my camera right now, I'm sitting in the computer lab on the top floor of the library and there is a huge football game with the stands packed. Its a highschool game. It looks so nice all lit up.

bored/random

I'm sitting here at work, bored off my yonkers so I thought I'd blog. The phone just rang and I was too nervous to pick it up so I let it ring until someone else did... gggrrr.

So ok, photos. Really wanting to do something cool for the portrait project especially since I really like portraits. I'd like to eventually (if not for this project then definitely just for fun) take pictures of my friends and my family.... I think that'd be very cool. Also trying to decide how to take documentary photos without being a huge creep. I think I can fake the "photographer confidence" well enough to get some good ones and not be seen like a weirdo.

There's a liquor store underneath our office and I always watch the people getting out of their cars to go in. That'd be interesting if I could photograph them, not likely though since most of them seem a little sketchy.... buying vodka at 2pm on a wednesday and all.
